Post-screening discussion

This evening, we’ll view and discuss The Hand that Feeds, a multiple prize-winning film about New York City
undocumented, restaurant-workers; they organized to fight sub-legal wages, dangerous work conditions, and abusive
managers. Risking deportation, the workers formed an independent union and embarked on a roller-coaster year.
Members of Immigrant Solidarity DuPage (ISD) will join us for reflection and dialogue about immigration, labor,
solidarity, campaigns to improve working conditions and raise the minimum wage, and more. We’ll also hear about the
work of Northern Illinois Jobs with Justice, which is partnering with ISD and Just Views to show this film. The public and all points of view are welcome.
