Alachua Labor Coalition and Interfaith Alliance for Immigrant Justice present The Hand that Feeds

Please join us Monday, August 31, 7:00 PM at the Civic Media Center, 433 S. Main St. for the Alachua County Labor Coalition monthly labor film series screening of The Hand That Feeds, the 2015 documentary about undocumented immigrant workers who fight back when faced with sub-legal wages, dangerous machinery and abusive managers at a New York deli.

Risking deportation and the loss of their livelihood, the workers team up with young, innovative organizers and form an independent union. They face a two month lockout and lawyers battling it out in back rooms.

Join us to find out what happens to these workers and be prepared to be inspired to fight for our own low wage workers in Alachua County.
